1. Project: Siegel Residence Addition, 21-2106-DP/CDP Address: 4755 Fourth Street Applicant: Russell James Werth, agent for Timothy and Anissa Siegel Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Russell James Werth, agent for Timothy and Anissa Siegel, to consider Project 21-2106-DP/CDP for final review of a proposal to construct a 535 square-foot two-story master suite and bedroom addition at the rear of the existing 868 square-foot residence. An existing 62 square-foot laundry room would be demolished as part of the project. The maximum building height would increase from 17-feet to 26-feet at the highest point. 2. Project: Santa Cruz Island Foundation, 21-2138-DPR/CDP Address: 4994 Carpinteria Avenue Applicant: Scott Menzel, for the Santa Cruz Island Foundation Planner: Nick Bobroff Request of Scott Menzel, landscape architect and agent for the Santa Cruz Island Foundation, to consider Project 21-2138-DPR/CDP for preliminary review of a proposal for an exterior building remodel and site renovation of the former bank building to house the Santa Cruz Island Foundation's (SCIF) new "Chrisman California Island Center". The project entails an exterior remodel of the existing building, new signage, new site fencing, and reconfiguration of onsite landscaping and parking areas. 3. Project: Zins Duplex, Project 21-2083-DP/CDP Address: 4905 Eighth Street Applicant: Dylan Chappell, architect for Jerry and Lisa Zins Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Dylan Chappell, architect for Jerry and Lisa Zins, to consider Project 21-2083-DP/CDP for preliminary review of a request to demolish an existing single-story 1,124 square foot single family residence and construct a new two-story 5,990 square foot duplex containing two dwelling units with an attached five-car garage. The property is an 8,391 square foot parcel zoned Planned Residential Development (PRD-20) and shown as APN 003-311-011, addressed as 4905 Eighth Street.
4. Project: Motel 6 Landscaping and Lighting, Project 21-2116-DPR/ARB Address: 5550 Carpinteria Avenue Applicant: David Lundy, PM Design Group for Mike Panzer, G6 Hospitality LLC Planner: Marysol Smith Request of David Lundy, agent for Mike Panzer, G6 Hospitality LLC (Motel 6), to consider Project 21-2116-DPR/ARB for preliminary review of a landscaping and exterior lighting retrofit project. Select existing exterior unpermitted building mounted lights and parking lot/grounds lighting would be replaced with new fixtures, select existing exterior fixtures would be removed, and new fixture locations are proposed. Fifty-two replacement trees would be planted and a variety of shrubs are also proposed as part of a comprehensive re-landscaping plan. No remaining existing trees are proposed to be removed. The property is a 4-acre parcel zoned Commercial Planned Development (CPD) and shown as APN 001-070-039, addressed as 5550 Carpinteria Avenue.
