Hearing on the request of the City of Carpinteria Public Works Department to consider Project 14-1719-CUP/CDP (application filed February 5, 2015) to re-authorize a previously-approved Conditional Use Permit and Coastal Development Permit to remove and replace the Carpinteria Avenue Bridge over Carpinteria Creek with a new three-span bridge and complete associated improvements to the Carpinteria Avenue roadway approaches, public utilities, and the Carpinteria Creek bike path under the provisions of CMC §14.62, Conditional Use Permit, for projects of a public works nature; and to accept an Addendum to the previously-certified Environmental Impact Report (EIR) prepared for the project (State Clearinghouse Number 2014071007) pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines. There are no new significant environmental impacts as a result of this modification request. The application involves the 5400 and 5500 blocks of the Carpinteria Avenue right-of-way and adjacent APNs 001-070-029, -031, -039, -055, -066, 003-280-008, -009, -010, 003-810-CA1, located in the vicinity of Carpinteria Avenue at Carpinteria Creek.
