PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS

The City Council may vote to appeal a decision of the Planning Commission to itself by majority vote (CMC 14.78.040(2)).

PUBLIC COMMENT ON MATTERS NOT ON THE AGENDA This is a time for public comments on matters not otherwise on the agenda but within the subject matter jurisdiction of the City Council. The Mayor may establish reasonable regulations for public comment based on the time available and/or the number of persons waiting to speak. Typically, the Council's practice has been to limit each speaker to three minutes. The audio-visual system in the Council Chamber is not available for speaker use during the general Public Comment period. The City and the City Council are not responsible for the content of statements made during the public comment period, or the factual accuracy of any such statements.

CONSENT CALENDAR: Items on the consent calendar are considered to be routine and are normally enacted by one unanimous vote of the Council. If you wish to speak on a consent calendar item please do so during the public comment period provided at the beginning of this item.

2. Approve the minutes of the special joint meeting held June 18, 2024 and the regular meeting held June 24, 2024.

3. Receive and file the Expenditures for the period beginning June 17, 2024 and ending June 28, 2024.

4. Receive and file the Monthly Treasurer’s Report on Compliance with Statement of Safekeeping and Investment of Public Funds for May 2024

5. Authorize the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to a Vendor Agreement for reoccurring animal control services for the period from April 2, 2024 to April 1, 2025, for a not-to-exceed amount of $24,000 for the one-year term of the Agreement. (Requires a roll call vote.)

6. Adopt Ordinance No. 778 (second reading), amending Carpinteria Municipal Code Chapter 8.52, Smoking Regulations. (Requires a roll call vote.)

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS:

7. Review of home sales prices and adjusting the 2024 in-lieu affordable housing fee pursuant to Carpinteria Municipal Code Chapter 14.75, Inclusionary Housing Requirement, and, if desired, adopt Resolution No. 6337, as read by title only, adjusting the 2024 affordable housing in-lieu fees for condominiums and single-family dwellings.

8. Adoption of Resolution No. 6338, approving the recommendations of the Traffic Safety Committee.

9. Award Construction Contract for the Via Real Stormwater Project to Toro Enterprises, Inc. and Agreements for related Construction Management and Inspection, Testing, and Archeology and Native American Monitoring Services.

10. Closeout of Carpinteria Skate Park Project.
