CITY COUNCIL BUSINESS

The City Council will meet to discuss the following subject matter: Preparation of a report to the City Council pursuant to California Elections Code Section 9212 analyzing the impacts and effects of the proposed "Initiative Measure to Change and/or Readopt the City of Carpinteria's General Plan Designation and Zoning Designation for Two Parcels of City-Owned Property (APN 004-105-011 and APN 004-105-026) Located Adjacent to the Railroad Tracks to the West of Linden Avenue and to Amend the Definition of the Open Space/Recreation (OSR) Land Use Category of the General Plan Land Use Element" ("Initiative").

Recommendation: Adopt Resolution No. 6070 (Attachment A) directing staff to prepare an Elections Code Section 9212 Report, with additional direction regarding its content and the required date of completion, and allocating money for the preparation thereof, as determined necessary and appropriate.
