1. Project: Smith Residence Addition & Remodel, Project # 25-2339-CDP/ARB Address: 5560 Calle Ocho Applicants: Dylan Chappell, Architect, for Allan Smith and Erica Camardella Planner: Marysol Smith Request of Dylan Chappell, architect for Allan Smith and Erica Camardella to consider Project 25-2339-CDP/ARB for final review of a proposal to remodel an existing single-story home, construct additions, and reorient the garage entrance to face the street. The single-story additions would total 1,172 square feet and the height of the residence would increase from 13 feet 4 inches to 15 feet 10 inches. The project would include landscaping, a new pool, and a comprehensive exterior renovation. The site is 8,276 square feet in size and is zoned Single Family Residential (6-R-1) shown as APN 003-351-004, addressed as 5560 Calle Ocho.
2. Project: Coeler New Residence, Project 23-2232-DP/LLA/CDP/ARB Address: 333 Linden Avenue Applicant: Dylan Chappell, architect, for Peter and Barbara Coeler Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Dylan Chappell, architect, for Peter and Barbara Coeler, to consider Project 23-2232-DP/LLA/CDP/ARB for continued preliminary review of a proposal to construct a new 3,434 square foot two-story single-family residence with an attached 432 square foot two-car garage, for a total size of 3,866 square feet and a maximum height of 23.83 feet. The proposal includes a Lot Line Adjustment with an adjacent property that would result in a 7,537 square-foot parcel zoned Planned Residential Development (PRD-20) shown as APN 003-440-028 and a portion of 003-440-027, addressed as 333 Linden Avenue.
3. Project: Kolbe Garage Door Relocation, Fencing and Landscaping, Project #25-2360-DR/ARB Address: 4445 La Tierra Lane Applicants: Hunter McGrath Ruiz, H. McGrath Designs LLC, for Jessica Kolbe Planner: Bret McNulty Request of Hunter McGrath, H. McGrath Designs LLC on behalf of Jessica Kolbe to consider Project #25-2360-DR/ARB for preliminary review of a proposal to relocate the garage door and driveway of a 1,563 square foot single-family residence from the current side garage location to a street facing location. The request includes consideration of new walkways to and from the house garage and sidewalk, grading, landscaping, gate relocations, and new aluminum fencing and gates. The proposal includes work in the City of Carpinteria public right way to demolish and remove an existing driveway and to install a new driveway, and includes removal and replacement in kind of an existing City maintained ginkgo biloba tree. The project will increase the impermeable area on site by 248 square feet to a total of 1,513 square feet (23%). The site is 6,534 square feet in size and is zoned Single Family Residential (7-R-1) and is shown on the Assessor roll as APN 004-008-042.
