1. Project: Santa Cruz Island Foundation, 21-2138-DPR/CDP Address: 4994 Carpinteria Avenue Applicant: Scott Menzel, for the Santa Cruz Island Foundation Planner: Nick Bobroff Request of Scott Menzel, landscape architect and agent for the Santa Cruz Island Foundation, to consider Project 21-2138-DPR/CDP for continued preliminary review of a proposal for an exterior building remodel and site renovation of the former bank building to house the Santa Cruz Island Foundation's (SCIF) new "Chrisman California Island Center". The project entails an exterior remodel of the existing building, new signage, new site fencing, and reconfiguration of onsite landscaping and parking areas. The property is a 0.56 acre parcel zoned Central Business (CB) with a Visitor-serving Commercial (V) Overlay and shown as APNs 003-153-014 & -015, addressed at 4994 Carpinteria Avenue.
2. Project: Coastal Vista Trail- Interim Linden to Holly Spur, 22-2147-DP/CDP Address: 399 Linden Avenue to Holly Avenue Applicant: Matt Roberts, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Public Facilities Dept. Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Matt Roberts, Director of Parks, Recreation, and Public Facilities Dept., to consider Project 22-2147-DP/CDP for preliminary review of a proposal to construct a new interim spur of the Coastal Vista Trail between Linden Avenue and Holly Avenue on City property along the south side of the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks. Access to the multi-use trail would be from Linden Avenue, the end of Elm Avenue, and the end of Holly Avenue in the Beach Neighborhood. The proposal also includes a new 20-foot by 25-foot tractor enclosure that would be constructed of six-foot-tall black chain-link fencing that would open onto Elm Avenue. The property is a 1.44-acre parcel zoned Recreation (REC), and shown as APNs 004-105-026 and -028, addressed as 399 Linden Avenue.
3. Project: Marquez Duplex Addition & Remodel for Unit A, 20-2057-DP/CUP/CDP Address: 4864 Seventh Street, Unit A Applicant: Ubaldo J. Diaz, UDICA Design + Permits, agent for Martha Marquez Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Ubaldo J. Diaz, UDICA Design + Permits, agent for Martha Marquez, to consider Project 20-2057-DP/CUP/CDP for preliminary review of a proposal to construct a 258 square foot addition, relocate the front porch and entry, construct a new roof, and complete an interior remodel to the existing front duplex Unit A. An existing 176 square foot covered porch would be demolished. The resultant residence would be 1,035 square feet in size with an attached 378 square-foot two-car carport, for a total size of 1,413 square feet. The property is a 6,094 square-foot parcel zoned Planned Residential Development (PRD-15), and shown as APN 003-301-012, addressed as 4684 Seventh Street.
