6) Report on the stop sign at Dorrance and Linden as a follow-up from the December 8, 2020 meeting: The present temporary stop signs are planned to remain until The Spot no longer needs its temporary COVID-19 encroachment. Public Works is intending to order a stop sign warrant study for this intersection in late spring in order to observe pre-pandemic conditions (e.g., pedestrian and vehicular traffic). In the meantime, the intersection will be soon improved with concrete curb bulbouts with the intent to calm traffic and reduce the pedestrian crossing distance. The improvement is anticipated to be a part of the upcoming Pedestrian Crossing Safety Improvements Project, which is estimated to start this early spring.
