2) Project: Chaney Avenue GC§65402, 21-2089-GC Address: Western end of Chaney Avenue Applicant: County of Santa Barbara Planner: Steve Goggia Hearing on the request of the County of Santa Barbara to consider Project 21-2089-GC for a determination that Caltrans' acquisition of a nonexclusive drainage easement totaling approximately 2,760 square feet for maintenance purposes on property identified as APN 003-552-043, owned by the County of Santa Barbara and zoned Single Family Residential, is consistent with the General Plan/Coastal Land Use Plan of the City of Carpinteria, pursuant to Government Code §65402.
3) Project: Zuvella Residence Remodel & Addition, 20-2041-CUP/CDP Address: 4756 Fifth Street Applicant: Kyle and Andrea Zuvella Planner: Syndi Souter Hearing on the request of Kyle and Andrea Zuvella to consider project 20-2041-CUP/CDP (application filed March 4, 2020) for a Conditional Use Permit and Coastal Development Permit to remodel a legal nonconforming 904 square-foot single-family residence and construct a 448 square-foot addition to the rear of the residence for a resultant size of 1,352 square feet under the provisions of Carpinteria Municipal Code ("CMC") §14.14- Planned Residential Development District zone, CMC §14.62- Conditional Use Permit, and CMC §14.82- Nonconforming Uses; and to approve an Exemption pursuant to §15301(a), §15301(e), and§15332 of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") Guidelines. The application involves APN 003-303-014, addressed as 4756 Fifth Street.
4) Project: Prins Mixed-Use Concept Review, 20-2069-CON Address: 4209 Carpinteria Avenue Applicant: LLC/Tobias and Christina Prins Planner: Syndi Souter Hearing on the request of 4209 Carpinteria Ave., LLC/Tobias and Christina Prins to consider Project 20-2069-CON (application filed on October 9, 2020) for concept review of a proposal to construct a new 3,236 square-foot two-story commercial office/warehouse building and a new 2,364 square-foot two-story four-unit residential building with an attached 720 square-foot four-car carport. The application involves APN 003-212-025, addressed as 4209 Carpinteria Avenue.
5) Project: Carpinteria Unified School District, 21-2088-TUP Address: 5201 Eighth Street Applicant: Diana Rigby for CUSD Planner: Nick Bobroff Hearing on the request of Diana Rigby, Carpinteria Unified School District, to consider Project 21-2088-TUP (application filed on February 9, 2021) for a Temporary Use Permit to allow the 45 students and 8.5 staff from the Summerland School campus to be temporarily relocated to the Carpinteria Main School campus for the 2021-22 school year in order to allow for the demolition and reconstruction of the Summerland School campus, under the provisions of Carpinteria Municipal Code §14.64, Temporary Use Permit; and to approve an Exemption pursuant to §15301, 15323, and 15282(i) of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.
