C. PUBLIC COMMENT: This is a time for public comments on matters not otherwise on the agenda but within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Architectural Review Board. Comments shall be limited to 15 minutes, divided among those persons desiring to speak, but no person shall speak longer than five minutes. Persons wishing to speak on a specific item will be recognized at the time the agenda item is considered. 1) APPLICANT: Jeff Reich, agent for 4410 Via Real, LLC (Project: 20-2062-SIGN/ARB) PLANNER: Marysol Smith PROJECT LOCATION: 4410 Via Real (7-Eleven) ZONING: Commercial Planned Development District (CPD): Request of Jeff Reich, agent for 4410 Via Real, LLC to consider Project 20-2062-SIGN/ARB for preliminary review of a proposal for one new illuminated wall sign on an existing mansard canopy. The existing 120 square foot sign, which wraps around all three sides of the canopy would be removed. The existing canopy would then be wrapped in a bronze Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) and the new 52.5 square foot illuminated sign would be centered on the canopy. The property is a 0.5 acre parcel zoned Commercial Planned Development (CPD) and shown as APN 003-101-017, addressed as 4410 Via Real.
2) APPLICANT: Dennis Thompson, architect for Leland & Diana Walmsley (Project: 18-1919-CUP/CDP) PLANNER: Syndi Souter PROJECT LOCATION: 1455 Azalea Drive ZONING: Single-Family Residential (7-R-1): Request of Dennis Thompson, architect for Leland and Diana Walmsley, to consider Project 18-1919-CUP/CDP for continued preliminary review of a request to: 1.) construct a 250 square-foot first floor addition to the front of the existing 1,159 square-foot residence; 2.) demolish the existing 512 square-foot attached two-car garage, and 3.) reorient and reconstruct a new 498 square-foot attached two-car garage facing the street. The property is a 6,970 square foot parcel zoned Single-Family Residential (7-R-1) and shown as APN 003-600-046, addressed as 1455 Azalea Drive.
