1) Applicant: Don Swann for Paul and Michelle Sanchez Project: 21-2087-ARB Planner: Syndi Souter Project Location: 1481 Sterling Avenue Zoning: Single Family Residential (7-R-1) Hearing on the request of Don Swann, designer for Paul and Michelle Sanchez, to consider Project 21-2087-ARB for preliminary/final review of a proposal to remodel an existing 1,541 square foot single-family residence with an attached 443 square foot two-car garage and construct new front and rear additions totaling 391 square feet. The resultant single-family residence would increase to 1,932 square-feet in size with an attached 443 square foot garage, for a cumulative total of 2,375 square feet. The maximum height would remain unchanged at 15-feet and six-inches. The property is a 7,667 square-foot parcel zoned Single Family Residential (7-R-1), and shown as APN 004-011-034, addressed as 1481 Sterling Avenue.
2) Applicant: Dylan Chappell Architects for Manuel Martinez Project: 20-2070-ARB/CDP Planner: Syndi Souter Project Location: 1147 Vallecito Road Zoning: Single Family Residential (6-R-1) Hearing on the request of Dylan Chappell, architect for Manuel Martinez, to consider Project 20-2070-ARB/CDP for continued preliminary review of a proposal to remodel an existing two-story 2,715 square foot single-family residence with an attached 675 square foot two-car garage and construct new first and second-story additions totaling 856 square feet. The resultant two-story single-family residence would increase to 3,657 square-feet in size with an attached 589 square foot garage, for a cumulative total of 4,246 square feet. The maximum height would increase to 22 feet. The property is a 13,818 square-foot parcel zoned Single Family Residential (6-R-1), and shown as APN 003-192-005, addressed as 1147 Vallecito Road.
3) Applicant: Erinn Silva, GPA Consulting for Caltrans Address: 21-2091-CON Planner: Nick Bobroff Project Location: US Highway 101 right-of-way and 4100 block of Carpinteria Ave right-of-way Zoning: Transportation Corridor (TC) and Commercial Planned Development with Residential Overlay (CPD/R) Hearing on the request of Erinn Silva, GPA Consulting for Caltrans, to consider Project 21-2091-CON for conceptual review of a proposal to construct a new 0.8-mile, 12-foot wide Class I separated bike and pedestrian path connecting the west end of Carpinteria Avenue to Santa Claus Lane in unincorporated Santa Barbara County. The new bike path would be located between the southbound travel lanes of US Highway 101 and the UPRR corridor. For the Carpinteria Avenue segment of the bike path, the new path would replace the existing sidewalk on the south (ocean) side of the 4100 block of Carpinteria Avenue, tying into existing Class II bike path improvements at the Carpinteria Avenue/Estero Way intersection. The project is located entirely within Caltrans or City right-of-way.
