1) APPLICANT: Donald Bryan, Blue Sky Studio (Project: 20-2042-ARB) PLANNER: Syndi Souter PROJECT LOCATION: 1493 Trenora Street ZONING: Single Family Residential (8-R-1): Request of Donald Bryan, Blue Sky Studio, agent for Jennifer M. & Amber Scouras, Trustees of the Scouras Family Trust dated 2/4/2020, to consider Project 20-2042-ARB for preliminary review of a proposal to remodel and construct a new two-story addition of 541 square feet to the existing 2,340 square-foot single-family residence. The project will result in a single-family residence of 2,880 square feet with an attached two-car garage of 441 square feet, for a total resultant size of 3,321 square feet. The property is an 8,402 square-foot parcel zoned Single Family Residential (8-R-1), and shown as APN 001-280-011, addressed as 1493 Trenora Street.
2) APPLICANT: Matt Roberts, Parks & Recreation Director, for City of Carpinteria (Project: 20-2048-SIGN/ARB) PLANNER: Marysol Smith PROJECT LOCATION: 101 Ash Avenue (City Boat House) ZONING: Recreation District (REC): Request of Matt Roberts, agent for the City of Carpinteria, to consider Project 20-2048-SIGN/ARB for preliminary/final review of a request to paint murals on four prominent exterior walls of the City of Carpinteria’s Boat House located adjacent to the Ash Avenue beach access. The murals would be painted directly onto the walls and occupy their full extent, depicting underwater ocean habitats and above-water vistas and recreational activities. No structural alterations to the building are proposed as part of this project. The property is zoned Recreation District (REC) and shown as APNs 003-470-013 and 003-470-001, addressed as 101 Ash Avenue.
3) APPLICANT: Brian Zant, agent for John and Ann Maloney Dawidziak (Project: 20-2053-CDP/ARB) PLANNER: Marysol Smith PROJECT LOCATION: 5540 Callejon Drive ZONING: Single-Family Residential (6-R-1): Request of Brian Zant, agent for John and Ann Maloney Dawidziak, to consider Project 20-2053-CDP/ARB for preliminary review of a request to remodel and construct a 523 square foot addition to an existing single-family residence. The addition would include an extension to the rear of the residence and a bathroom pop-out addition on the side (north) elevation. Various site improvements, including new landscaping, hardscaping and low retaining walls are also proposed in the front yard. The property is an 11,761 square foot lot square foot parcel zoned Single-Family Residential (6-R-1) and shown as APN 003-340-005, addressed as 5540 Callejon Drive.
