ADMINISTRATIVE MATTER:

6. Cancellation of the regular City Council meeting of August 24, 2020.

7. Review of home sales and adjusting the in-lieu affordable housing fee pursuant to Carpinteria Municipal Code §14.75, Inclusionary Housing Requirement.

PUBLIC HEARING:

8. Annual Review of Fire Protection Mitigation Fee Program and Approval of an Adjustment in the Fee amount.

9. Introduce Ordinance No. 742 approving an amendment to the existing Condominium / Conversion Ordinance found at Chapter 14.74 of the Carpinteria Municipal Code; and adopt Resolution No. 5979, certifying that Ordinance No. 742 is intended to carry out the policies of the City’s certified Local Coastal Plan consistent with the California Coastal Act, and direct that the proposed Local Coastal Plan amendment a part of Ordinance No. 742, be transmitted to the California Coastal Commission for certification.

OTHER BUSINESS:

10. Formation of committees on Racial Equity and Social Justice.

11. Cooperative Agreement with Carpinteria Sanitary District for the Carpinteria Avenue Bridge Replacement Project.

12. Approval of Contract Change Order No. 25 with Quincon, Inc. for Construction of City Hall Remediation and Renovation. (Motion requires a roll call vote)

13. Authorization for the City Manager to execute an Agreement with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. to provide consulting design services in an amount not-to-exceed $153,963 for City Project No. 15113 – Linden Avenue Improvements Project-Carpinteria Avenue to Linden Avenue Overpass. (Motion requires a roll call vote)

14. Closing portions of Linden Avenue for use by local businesses.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE: The City Council will discuss local, state and/or federal legislation under consideration and decide whether to direct staff to place a matter(s) on a future City Council agenda for consideration.
