a. Carp Bluffs Tar Pits: Continue collaboration with La Brea Tar Pits for the education component. Short Term: Tar Pits interpretive signage for lodgepole fence. Longer Term: Design a relatively low-cost retention structure for the tar seep as seep activity is increasing, and pump out in warm weather as budget permits. Status: Ongoing work and ongoing board input/discussion. City attempting to contract out the fence construction using already purchased fence materials.
b. Prepare submissions to multiple grant programs for Rincon Bluffs Preserve. Status: Tracking grant opportunities, applying when it’s time. Ongoing.
c. COSMAB “final” review of draft Charter. Status: Active. Board to provide any edits to Matt prior to the March 16 meeting. Review the final draft at the meeting and hopefully approve.
d. Inspection of Lagunitas Creek Pedestrian Bridge and Cypress Tree. Need to contact property owner regarding required maintenance and Cypress Tree safety trimming. Status: Active.
e. COSMAB review of draft Farmer parcel landscape plan after City Parks review. Status: Active.
f. Update on mowing the Tar Pits Park meadow and Carp Bluffs fields. Status: Active. Waiting for Spring just prior to initial bloom.
