1) Project: Scouras Residence Two-story Addition & Remodel, 20-2042-ARB Address: 1493 Trenora Street Applicant: Donald Bryan, Blue Sky Studio for Jennifer and Amber Scouras Planner: Syndi Souter Request of Donald Bryan, Blue Sky Studio, agent for Jennifer M. & Amber Scouras, Trustees of the Scouras Family Trust dated 2/4/2020, to consider Project 20-2042-ARB for final review of a proposal to remodel and construct a new two-story addition of 508 square feet to the existing 2,340 square-foot single-family residence. The project will result in a single-family residence of 2,847 square feet with an attached two-car garage of 441 square feet, for a total resultant size of 3,288 square feet. The proposal includes an interior remodel, changes to the exterior finishes, new doorway trellises, and a new picket fence in the front yard. The property is an 8,446 square-foot parcel zoned Planned Residential Development (PRD-20) and shown as APN 003-303-014, addressed as 4756 Fifth Street.
3) Project: New Elementary School, 21-2099-CUPM/CDP Address: 5026 Foothill Road Applicant: Pastor Pennington for First Baptist Church of Carpinteria Planner: Marysol Smith Request of Pastor Pennington, agent for the First Baptist Church of Carpinteria, to consider Project 21-2099-CUPM/CDP for continued preliminary review of a proposal to install two portable classrooms for a new elementary school. The new school would include pre-school and K-6 grades and would grow over the course of a five-year phased enrollment plan to 94 students. The structures would range from 960 to 1,200 square feet and would have a maximum height of 12 feet. The property is a 1.72 acre parcel zoned Community Facility (CF) and shown as APN 004-004-021, addressed as 5026 Foothill Road.
4) Project: Garcia Exterior Remodel, Project 21-2097-DPR/CDP Address: 4921 Sandyland Road Applicant: Kimberly and Gregory Garcia, owners Planner: Marysol Smith Request of Kimberly and Gregory Garcia, owners, to consider Project 21-2097-DP/CDP for preliminary/final review of an exterior remodel and re-landscaping project. The property is a .12 acre parcel zoned Planned Residential Development District and shown as APN 003-850-015 addressed as 4921 Sandyland Road.
5) Project: Perimeter Fence & Façade Improvements, 21-2085-ARB/CDP Address: 5251/5201 Sixth Street Applicant: Lizette Elenes, ERA Architects, for Forrest Carter Planner: Nick Bobroff Request of Lizette Elenes, ERA Architects, agent/architect for Forrest Carter, to consider Project 21-2085-ARB/CDP for preliminary review of a request to construct a new six-foot high security fence with three sliding vehicle gates and two pedestrian gates around the perimeter of the subject property.
